One of the ways in which Wales can connect with the rest of the world is through its art.  In 'Hon' we encounter ten artists who, in their own ways, have redefined the world from their own perspectives and are contributing to a wider view of it through the female imagination.  They also identify with, and feel part of a community and a nation.  In reclaiming their artistic lives, they proclaim Wales to be not only the land of song and the land of my fathers, but also hen wlad newydd ein merched: the new old country of our women.
