Simmy Singh  violin

Rakhi Singh  violin

Sisters Rakhi and Simmy Singh join forces with Sinfonia Cymru to create a programme of music from across the globe. This concert will celebrate their Welsh and Indian heritage, including other musical and cultural influences they have had along the way. This programme will draw on those cultural backgrounds with arrangements of Indian Ragas, Welsh folk tunes, music from Eastern Europe, alongside re-workings of Beethoven and Ravel string quartets. The evening will be a truly unique experience; a beautiful collaboration of musical backgrounds.'

Ymuna’r ddwy chwaer, Rakhi a Simmy Singh gyda Sinfonia Cymru i greu rhaglen o gerddoriaeth byd-eang.  Byddant yn dathlu eu treftadaeth Gymreig ac Indiaidd yn y cyngerdd hwn, gan gynnwys dylanwadau cerddorol a diwylliannol eraill a brofwyd ganddynt. Bydd y rhaglen yn gwneud defnydd o’r cefndiroedd diwylliannol hyn gyda threfniannau o Ragas Indiaidd, caneuon gwerin Cymreig, cerdd Dwyrain Ewrop ynghyd ag ail-ymweliadau o bedwarawdau llinynnol Beethoven a Ravel.  Profiad gwirioneddol unigryw fydd y noson hon; cydweithrediad prydferth o gefndiroedd cerddorol.

"The talent of this chamber orchestra was clear from the first note."   South Wales Argus
