Kabantu is a quartet from Manchester featuring strings, guitar and percussion. They create new marriages of music from around the globe to celebrate the spaces where different cultures meet. Vocal harmonies from South Africa coalesce with everything from Celtic reels to Brazilan Samba and beyond.  Kabantu will be playing a selection of songs from their critically acclaimed debut album “Of the People” (produced by Mercury-nominated Gerry Driver) plus some new compositions.

O Fanceinion y daw Kabantu - pedwarawd sy’n cynnwys llinynnau, gitar ac offerynnau taro. Mae nhw’n creu priodasau newydd o gerddoriaeth byd-eang gan ddathlu’r gofod ble mae diwylliannau’n cwrdd. Ymdodda harmoniau lleisiol o Dde Affrica gyda sawl peth - o riliau Celtaidd i Samba o Frasil, a thu hwnt.  Bydd Kabantu yn chwarae detholiad o ganeuon a gynhwysir yn yr albwm a dderbyniodd ganmoliaeth uchel, “Of the People” (wedi’i gynhyrchu gan Gerry Driver a enwebwyd gan Mercury) ac ambell i gyfansoddiad newydd.
